Justin Day’s journey into screen printing began with a passion for art. Before discovering the craft, he spent years painting graffiti-style murals on canvas. Wanting a way to reproduce his artwork, he found screen printing—and immediately fell in love with the process. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a lifelong career.

With over 20 years in the screen printing industry, Justin has worked in and helped launch multiple print shops, gaining deep experience in both production and operations. Yet the desire to build something of his own never left him. When COVID hit, the shop he was working at closed after the owner decided to retire. Justin transitioned into sales for a screen printing distribution company and spent time consulting with other shops, but he still felt the pull to pursue his dream.

That’s when Justin decided to take the leap and start his own business.

Today, Justin and his wife Amber run The Print Shoppe in Belmont, North Carolina—a small screen printing and embroidery company built with a big purpose. As a husband-and-wife team, they proudly serve local businesses with orders ranging from 24 pieces to thousands, while also creating their own faith-based designs. Every piece is hand-pulled with intention right in their hometown.

For Justin and Amber, it’s more than just printing ink on shirts—it’s about spreading hope, creativity, and community while keeping the (th)INK LOCAL spirit alive.
